Join for a livestream with Dr Joanne Sneddon, Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Western Australia as she reveals the powerful psychological principles that underlie the act of charitable giving.

The talk will break down Dr Sneddon’s research and show you how you can get more people to care about your cause simply by understanding (and speaking to) their core values. After linking in with the Australian event via livestream, you’ll also have some time to network with the other UK causes in the room!

About the Speakers

Joanne Sneddon

Dr Sneddon is a Senior Lecturer of Marketing in the UWA Business School and Deputy Director of the UWA Centre for Human and Cultural Values. She was awarded her PhD at UWA in 2009.

Dr Sneddon has considerable experience in research, teaching and industry engagement and her research interests and expertise are in the area of human values. She is particularly interested in the measurement of human values in adults and children and how values influence consumer and pro-social behaviour.

Heiko Plange-Korndoefer

Heiko has extensive experience in developing and executing strategic marketing, major gifts fundraising and corporate partnership programs. He has previously worked across health, medical research, educational, community, and charitable organisations throughout Australia. Heiko holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance Investment and a Graduate Certificate in Social Impact. Heiko has been a Fellow of the Fundraising Institute Australia and has represented Western Australia on the State Executive since 2010.
